What does Bella Vista Psychiatry and Well-being Clinic do?
Bella Vista Psychiatry & Well-being Clinic is an exclusive mental health service, providing appointments with Psychiatrists and Psychologists through face-to-face consultations or secure video conferencing platforms.
What services do you provide?
Our Psychiatrists offer assessments and management plans for common mental health conditions, including but not limited to:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Stress
- PTSD
- OCD
- Mood disorders
- Bipolar affective disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Borderline personality disorder
- ADHD, ADD, and ASD assessments
Psychiatrists also provide legal and forensic reports, work/occupational assessments, medical procedure reports, and assessments for various other situations. Please speak with our administration staff if you need clarification.
Our Psychologists offer a range of therapeutic services, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Interpersonal Therapy
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing
- Relationship counselling
- Psychoeducation
- Symptom management, sleep hygiene, skills development, self-care, and more.
How does it work?
- Obtain a referral from your GP and send it to us via email, fax, or secure messaging, or upload it through our online portal.
- Our triage team will review the referral and match it with an appropriate psychiatrist.
- We will contact you to schedule your appointment.
- If applicable, payment is due before your appointment.
- You will receive a reminder text the day before your appointment.
- If your appointment is via telehealth, we will send you an email with a video link.
- Attend your appointment where the practitioner will discuss your management plan.
- A report will be sent to your referring GP, and your psychiatrist and GP will collaborate on your management plan.
Do I need a referral, and are you taking new patients?
Yes, you will need a referral from your GP for an appointment with a Psychiatrist and a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) for appointments with a Psychologist.
A number of our psychiatrists and psychologists are currently accepting new patients. We will contact you within 5 business days of receiving your referral. If you have not heard from us in that time, please contact us.
Please note: Bella Vista Psychiatry & Well-being Clinic does not provide emergency care. If you are in need of emergency care, please visit your local hospital.
Do you conduct ADHD/ADD assessments?
Yes, we have experienced psychiatrists specialising in ADHD/ADD assessments.
These assessments typically involve two sessions, with privately charged fees and rebates for eligible appointments. Please speak with our administration staff for more details.
What are the costs of my appointments?
The cost of appointments varies based on the Medicare item number and whether you have reached the Medicare Safety Net threshold. For specific fee information, please contact our administration team.
